Après le Portugal l’an passé et précédement l’Allemagne, la Roumanie, l’Europe du nord ou la Pologne c’est l’Angleterre qui est cette année à l’honneur. Vous découvrirez notamment le premier film d’Andrea Arnold, Wasp, (Oscar du meilleur court métrage en 2004), qui sera deux fois primée au Festival de Cannes avec Red Road et Fish Tank, ou Arrivederci Millwall de Charles McDougall, qui devint par la suite le producteur des séries Sex and the city et Desperate Houswives. 

Le moyen métrage est le format privilégié des plasticiens anglais comme Claire Hopper, Charlotte Ginsborg ou Duncan Campbell qui travaillent la narration en mêlant habilement fiction et documentaire.

With Portugal last year and previously Germany, Romania, Northern Europe or Poland,England is being honoured this year. You will discover the first film by Andrea Arnold, Wasp (Oscar for best short film in 2004), afterwards twice awarded at the Cannes Film Festival for Red Road and Fish Tank as well as Arrivederci Millwall by Charles McDougall, who became later on the producer of Sex and the City and Desperate Housewives series. 

The medium-length film format is the preferred one among English artists such as Claire Hopper, Charlotte Ginsborg or Duncan Campbell who are working the narrative by cleverly interweaving fiction and documentary.
