Dakar, Sénégal. C'est la fin de l'été. Le temps d'un voyage de Dakar à Saint-Louis, les passagers d'un taxi-brousse croisent leurs destins et se racontent en chansons.

Dakar, Senegal. The end of the Summer. During the journey from Dakar to Saint Louis the passengers of a taxi meet each other's destiny and sing the story of their lives.

Dyana Gaye est née à Paris en 1975. Elle étudie le cinéma à l’Université Paris 8 Saint-Denis où elle obtient, en 1998, une maîtrise d’études cinématographiques. En 1999, elle est lauréate de la Bourse Louis Lumière-Villa Médicis Hors les murs pour son scénario Une femme pour Souleymane, qu’elle met en images l’année suivante. En 2004, elle réalise J’ai deux amours (pour le projet Paris la métisse), et en 2006, son court métrage Ousmane sera nominé aux César 2008 du meilleur court-métrage.

Dyana Gaye was born in Paris in 1975. She majored in Film Studies at Paris 8 – Saint Denis University in 1998. In 1999, she won the Louis Lumière-Villa Médicis grant for her script A Woman for Souleymane, which she directed the following year. In 2004, she directed a musical one-shot sequence film, Remembering Paris, for the project « Paris la métisse » in 2005. In 2006, her short film Ousmane was nominated at the César 2008 for Best Short Film.
