Une île, un volcan en éruption, un amour éteint. Retour au présent sur les lieux du passé, contaminés par les souvenirs, cartographie intérieure de Stromboli, décor irréel propice au fantasme et à la rêverie.

An island, an active volcano, an extinct love. A return to the places of the past, contaminated by memories. A mental cartography of Stromboli, unreal decor, invitation to day-dreams and fantasies.

Pauline Gaillard est née il y a quelques années, du côté d'Orouët. Elle a passé beaucoup de temps au cinéma, avant de découvrir le montage rue Francoeur, au premier sous-sol de La Fémis, sur un banc Umatic. Depuis lors, elle monte des films documentaires et des films de fiction, pour, entre autres Lionel Baier, Claire Doyon, Mikhaël Hers, Valérie Mréjen ou Valérie Donzelli. Que devient mon souvenir quand tu n’y penses pas est son premier film.

 

Pauline Gaillard was born a few years ago near Orouët. She spent a lot of time at the movies, before discovering film editing rue Francoeur, at the French film school La Fémis. Since then, she has been editing documentary and feature films for Lionel Baier, Claire Doyon, Mikhaël Hers, Valérie Mréjen, Valérie Donzelli - among others. Que devient mon souvenir quand tu n’y penses pas is her first film.
