Icône du néo-romantisme libéré des fausses pudeurs, il réalise un court métrage, Mes copains, en 2008, avant de passer au moyen-métrage avec Petit tailleur. Il vient de tourner dans le nouveau film de Philippe Garrel, Un été brûlant, et sera également dans le prochain Christophe Honoré, Les bien-aimés.
As a promising actor whose inclination for neo-romantic characters devoid of pudor have made him a favourite of French young cinema, Louis Garrel, born in 1983, has gradually become the iconic figure of filmmakers Christophe Honoré and Philippe Garrel, his father. He directed his first short in 2008 (Mes copains), followed in 2010 by the medium-length film Petit tailleur. He’ll be featured in Christophe Honorés’s next film (Les bien-aimés) as well as in Philippe Garrel’s (Un été brûlant).
