Jessi, 11 ans, vit dans une famille d’accueil suite à l’incarcération de sa mère. Sa quête d’identité amène la jeune fille à revenir au village où elle a grandi. Elle y découvre que sa recherche sur elle-même devra l’emmener bien au-delà de sa « vie d’avant ».
11-year-old Jessi lives with a foster family, her mother being in prison. Her longing for identity takes her back to the village where she grew up. There, she discovers that her search will have to continue beyond the confines of her “old life”.
Née en 1976 à Berlin-Est, Mariejosephin Schneider a travaillé comme assistante de production et de décoration, puis comme assistante réalisatrice pour notamment Maria Speth, Oskar Röhler et Marc Meyer. étudiante à la Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie (dffb) à partir de 2002, elle réalise plusieurs courts métrages durant ses études de cinéma, notamment Love Hurts (2007), sélectionné dans plusieurs festivals internationaux.
Born 1976 in East Berlin, Mariejosephin Schneider assisted in the areas of art production and production, followed by assistant directorships for Maria Speth, Oskar Röhler and Marc Meyer, among others.
