Beate Grimsrud, née en 1963, est écrivain et cinéaste, et se partage entre la Suède et la Norvège. Son roman To Slip Past an Axe a été nommé au Prix littéraire du Conseil Nordique, et ses deux derniers livres, The Leakage of Sleep et A Fool, Free, ont tous deux été nominés pour le Prix Brage. Son court métrage Some questions about boxing a reçu un Amanda, l’équivalent norvégien des César. It usually ends well est son quatrième documentaire.
Beate Grimsrud, born in 1963, is a writer and filmmaker working in Sweden and Norway. Her novel To Slip Past an Axe was nominated for The Nordic Council's Literary Prize, and her two latest novels, The Leakage of Sleep and A Fool, Free, were both nominated for the Brage Award. Some Questions About Boxing (documentary) won the Amanda Award. It Usually Ends Well is her fourth documentary.
