João is the only employee in the Morais Key Cutting shop. He doesn’t have any qualms about leaving the shop to follow his heart’s whispers, spending coin after coin in the Love Machine. Marta do Monte is a Fine Arts student who brings in an unusual request. The key that João duplicates for her opens more than a single door…
João Nicolau est né à Lisbonne en 1975. Il est réalisateur, monteur, comédien et musicien. Il n’a jamais compris (et ne comprendra jamais) rien au Middle East. Après avoir remporté le Grand Prix au Festival de Brive 2010 avec Chanson d’amour et de bonne santé, son premier long métrage, L’Epée et la rose, est sorti en France en 2011.
João Nicolau was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1975. He works as a film director, film editor, actor and musician. After being awarded the Grand Prize at the Brive Film Festival 2010 with Song of Love and Good Health, he directed his first feature, The Sword and the Rose.
