L'hiver à Lisbonne. Père, mère, fils et fille tracent le cheminement d'une journé, engoncés dans leur propre solitude. Le film se déroule au travers de personnages qui ont pour adversaire la vie elle-même, laquelle n'a rien (et tout) d'héroïque.
In a winter in Lisbon, father, mother, son and daughter, trace the path of a day by themselves. A film that develops through characters who have for their antagonist life itself, with nothing (and everything) heroic about it.
Cláudia Varejão est née à Porto et a étudié le cinéma à l’institut Restart de Lisbonne. Elle a réalisé le documentaire Falta-Me (Mention spéciale à DocLiboa 2005) et le court métrage de fiction Um Dia Frio (Sélection officielle à Locarno 2009, Prix du jury au Festival du court métrage de Tanger et Grand prix au Cinemed de Montpellier en 2009). En dehors de son travail de réalisatrice, elle a aussi été monteuse et directrice de la photographie sur des documentaires. Son prochain projet est actuellement en cours de préparation.
Cláudia Varejão was born in Porto and studied cinema at Restart in Lisbon. She directed the documentary Falta-Me (Special Mention DocLisboa 2005) and the fiction short Um Dia Frio (official selection Locarno ’09, Jury Award at the Mediterranean Short Film Festival of Tangier and Grand Prize at the Montpellier International Mediterraneann Film Festival 2009). Besides her work as film director she has been working in editing and direction of photography in documentaries. She’s preparing her next film project.
