Papa s’énerve vite, et la colère bout souvent en lui, un peu comme le fait le lait qu’il fait aujourd’hui chauffer pour son bébé. Papa est un jeune homme qui doit préserver une certaine image de lui-même. C’est un rapper, un macho. Et sa vision des choses, sa manière de s’exprimer, cadrent mal avec le soin qu’il doit apporter à des enfants en bas âge.
Dad gets hot quickly and boils over, like the milk that he now has to heat up for his baby. Dad is a young man with an attitude. He’s a rapper, a macho. The way he sees and expresses himself are not so easy to align with the care and needs of small children.
Umut Dag
Umut Dag est né à Vienne en 1982. Il étudie le développement international, la religion et les sciences de l'éducation. Il se tourne ensuite vers la réalisation cinématographique à l'Université de Musique et des Beaux-Arts de Vienne. Papa est son second court-métrage, après Todesnachrichten (2008). Son premier long-métrage, Kuma, produit par Wega Film (producteur historique de Michael Haneke), présenté au Festival de Berlin, sortira sur les écrans autrichiens le 28 avril 2012.
Umut Dag was born in Vienna in 1982. He studied international development, religious studies and science of education, then moved towards film directing at the University for Music and Performing Art in Vienna. Papa is his second short film, after Todesnachrichten (2008). His first feature film, Kuma, produced by Wega Film (historical producer of Michael Haneke), was presented at the last Berlin Festival, and will open theatrically in Austria on April 28, 2012.
