Isabelle Prim

Isabelle Prim est née en 1984 à Paris. Entre 2009 et 2011, elle est étudiante au Fresnoy, studio national des arts contemporains, où elle réalise Mademoiselle Else d’après le roman d’Arthur Schnitzler, présenté au 63ème festival de Locarno, ainsi que La Rouge et la Noire, fiction construite autour de la figure du fondateur d’Aaton, Jean-Pierre Beauviala, présenté à la 62ème Berlinale. Elle est diplômée de l’Ecole supérieure d’art et du conservatoire de théâtre de Grenoble en 2008 après avoir étudié à l’Universität der Künste de Berlin dans le département vidéo expérimental où elle réalise Creamy Krimi projeté lors de la 58ème Berlinale. Entre 2008 et 2009, elle fait partie du Post-diplôme art de l’Ecole supérieur nationale des beaux arts de Lyon. Elle est aussi monteuse, notamment des Mouvements du Bassin de HPG (2012) et actrice, notamment pour Luc Moullet. Depuis 2005, elle réalise des films de fictions présentés dans de nombreux festivals internationaux et de nombreuses expositions.

Isabelle Prim is a filmmaker born in 1984 in Paris, France. Between 2009 and 2011, she studied at Le Fresnoy - National Studio of Contemporary Arts - where she directed Mademoiselle Else, based on the Arthur Schnitzler’s novel, screened at the 63rd film festival of Locarno and La Rouge et la Noire, a fictional portrait of the famous inventor of movie cameras Jean-Pierre Beauviala and his firm Aaton, screened at the 62th Berlinale. In 2008, she is graduated from the High School of Fine Arts in Grenoble (France), and of the theatrical conservatory, after what she worked as a student-researcher in the ninth Postgraduate session of the ENBA (Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Lyon). She also studied in the department of Experimental Media of the Universität der Künste Berlin, where she produced Creamy Krimi, screened at the 58th Berlinale. She also edits films as for Les Mouvements du bassin by HPG and she is also acting, as for the filmmaker Luc Moullet. She had numerous presentations of her work in contemporary art spaces and international film festivals.
