Dubai est vue soit comme un miracle de développement soit comme un échec. Ici la ville devient un lieu propice à l’exploration visuelle, au déplacement et à l’avènement du désir. En trois chapitres, la ville, le désert environnant, et leurs habitants s’y révèlent lentement en mettant à jour certains des aspects les plus sombres de la société économique mondialisée qui marque la fin d’une ère.  

Dubai, usually seen either as miracle of development or failed gimmick, becomes a set for a visual exploration of displacement, longing and desire. In three chapters, the city, the surrounding desert and their inhabitants slowly uncover some of the darker aspects of contemporary society, while the ongoing economic meltdown marks the end of an era.

Srdjan Keca a étudié la réalisation aux Ateliers Varan puis à l’Ecole Nationale du Film et de la Télévision en Grande Bretagne en 2011, il vit et travaille maintenant entre Londres et la Serbie. Son travail récent explore les liens entre le milieu urbain, les infrastructures et la condition humaine. 

Srdjan Keca studied filmmaking at Ateliers Varan and then at the National Film and Television School in the UK in 2011 and he now lives and works between London and Serbia. Recently, his work explored the connections between an urban environment and infrastructures and the human condition.
