Mohan Kumar Valasala est un élève diplômé du Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. Barre est son film de fin d’études. Il a aussi réalisé, en 2012, une fiction expérimentale, Yantra, et un court métrage documentaire, Panchabhuta, présenté à la Berlinale la même année et au Festival de Clermont-Ferrand en 2013.

Mohan Kumar Valasala has graduated from the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. Barre is his diploma film. In 2012, he made an experimental fiction Yantra, and a short documentary film, Panchabhuta, screened at the Berlinale the same year and at the Clemont-Ferrand film festival in 2013.
